Anything heavy that sits outside needs a proper base. Sheds, hot tubs, AC condensers, generators, RVs, garages, workshops — without a level, reinforced slab underneath, they sink, shift, and fail. Grande Concrete pours residential concrete slabs and pads across Greeley, CO, sized and reinforced for the load on top. With years pouring slabs across the area, we know what thickness, mix, and reinforcement each application needs. Every slab project includes a free site visit, written estimate, and permit handling where required.
A 6x8 shed slab is different from a 12x12 hot tub pad and different again from a workshop floor that holds a vehicle lift. We size each slab — thickness, rebar, and mix PSI — for what's going on it.
Hot tubs that sink develop leaks. AC units on cracked pads vibrate and fail prematurely. A proper slab protects the much more expensive equipment sitting on it.
Some slab projects need permits — depends on size, use, and local code. We handle the permitting and inspections so you don't have to.
A properly poured slab holds up for 30+ years with no maintenance beyond keeping it clean. Sealed slabs in workshops and garages resist oil and chemical staining.
Tell us what's going on top — equipment, vehicles, structures — and we'll spec the right slab size, thickness, and reinforcement.
We pull permits for slabs that require them and schedule any inspections.
We dig to proper depth, install compacted gravel base, and set drainage where needed. Skipping base prep is the most common reason slabs fail early.
Forms set to your dimensions, rebar or wire mesh laid per the load specs, slab poured at the right PSI.
We finish to the chosen surface — broom for outdoor utility, smooth for workshops, sealed for harder use cases. Walkable in 24-48 hours; fully cured for heavy equipment in 7-28 days depending on load.

Square footage is the main driver. Thickness and reinforcement matter — a 4-inch shed slab costs much less per square foot than an 8-inch garage slab with heavy rebar. Site access affects pricing: if the truck pours directly, the job is fast; if we need to wheelbarrow or pump, that adds time. Surface finish matters too — broom is standard; sealed, troweled smooth, or specialty finishes cost more.
Sheds and small storage buildings: 4 inches usually does it. Hot tubs: 4-6 inches with rebar. Garage and workshop floors: 4-6 inches. Vehicle lifts and heavy equipment: 6-8 inches with structural rebar. We spec it during the site visit.
Depends on size and use. Small pads under 200 square feet often don't need permits. Larger slabs and any slab supporting a permitted structure usually do. We check local code for your specific project.
Walkable in 24-48 hours. Light use (placing equipment, light furniture) at 7 days. Vehicle traffic and heavy equipment at 14-28 days depending on load. We mark the cure timeline before leaving.
The slab underneath is what determines whether the project lasts 30 years or fails in three. Call +17208767892 or schedule a free quote online. We'll evaluate the site, spec the slab, and give you a fair written estimate.
